Day 1: Arrival Addis Ababa and City Tour

On arrival Addis Ababa EAET representative will meet you at Bole international Airport and transfer to the Hotel, start visiting the city from National Museum, where Ethiopia’s oldest resident, Lucy is housed, Ethnological Museum at Addis Ababa University, continue with Holy trinity church and you will enjoy a panoramic view of the capital with fresh air hill top of Mount Entoto. Overnight stay on reserved Hotel

 

Day 2: addis Ababa-Bale Mountain

Drive from Addis to Bale Mountain National; park .Arrive at the park head quarters in the afternoon hike possibly spotting two endemic mammals that frequent the area, Menelik’s Bushback and the Mountain Nyala. Overnight Camping

 

Day 3: Trekking Bale Mountain National Park

Walk through Dinsho and enter the National park. Around Dinsho The Mountain Nyala and Menelik’s Bushback should be visible.while trekking through the park, there will be a chance to see Ethiopian Wolves,stop by Habrera Waterfall for a nice break .Hiking will take 4-5 hours.Overnight camping

 

Day 4: trekking Bale Mountain National Park

Trek to Wasama through a beautiful landscaps with views.pass through Mararo valley where the lammergeyer and verraux Eages keep nests.there will also be a chance a seeing the Ethiopian Wolf.Overnight camping

 

Day 5: Trek to Gebre Gurracha

Morning start hiking up Mt.Wasama and continue down into the Worgeona valley . Falcons, raptors, and possibly the Ethiopian Wolf will be visible. End the day at Lake Gebre Gurracha, meaning Black Lake in the oromic language. Trekking will take 7-8 hours

 

Day 6: Trekking Bale Mountain National Park

Trek from Gebre Gurracha up to the Sennati plateau to meet vehicles. Explore the Sennati plateau by car; this is the best place to see Ethiopian Wolf. Overnight stay on reserved hotel

 

Day 7: Trekking Bale Mountain National Park

Drive to Harenna forest, this is in the southern end of the park and holds a unique variety of vegetation. The Harenna Escarpment towers 2000m above the edge of the forest and provides stunning vies. Overnight stay on reserved hotel

Day 8: Addis Ababa

Drive from Dinsho to Addis Ababa through Arsi,Nazaret and Debrezehit. Evening we will have fare well dinner in one of the Ethiopian restaurant for cultural dances from the different ethnic groups. Then transfer to the airport for flight back home.
